Develop a Success Mindset–Is That All It Takes To Create Wealth?

Develop a Success Mindset – Is That Really All It Takes To Create Wealth??

I’m more of a literal girl. I go for the details and I’m very specific in all I do. I’ve read everything there is on personal development and how to develop a success mindset. I could tell you everything you are supposed to do to become successful in your home based business.

I knew what my “Why” was; I knew what my goals were. I had all the affirmations in the world going for me. I practiced the law of attraction…yet, where was the magical success I was supposed to have had by now? I came to the conclusion that this must work for everyone but me. I really didn’t understand how thinking positive and making goals actually made them come true in reality.

Anyone who is self employed and wants to build their business bigger and better spends time working on their personal development. Personal development books sold an average of over $10.6 Billion in the past few years. There are a lot of people trying to better themselves and become successful. However if everyone became successful from following all this great advice, we would certainly have a lot more millionaires then we do today. This goes to show that something is missing, and it isn’t only me who was missing it.

Then I had that moment that successful people talk about. It came shortly after the holiday break. The kids were home from school, and I had a lot of holiday plans that were taking me away from my business. I wasn’t able to work my business like usual. So I decided to take a short break and continue after my trip. This trip was the turning point for me and my business. I had a 15 hour drive ahead of me, and because my kids are really little, the only way I was going to attempt this trip was to go when they were asleep (which by the way they slept 12 out of the 15 hours – totally awesome!) So to keep myself occupied, I brought along 3 different CD training series, which totaled over 30 hours. I had purchased these awhile back, but never had the time to stop actively working to listen to them. I was really happy this trip would allow me the time to finally listen to them, and to keep my mind occupied instead of fighting driving fatigue. These trainings were great and helpful, but unfortunately there was no “ah-ha” moment for me like I was secretly hoping for.

It didn’t come until later. The weird thing was it didn’t come all at once either. It first started when I wasn’t prepared for it. I was folding laundry while listening to a webinar on mindset. I was a little annoyed at first that the big ta-da was about mindset. Honestly I have always considered this stuff “fluff”. I wanted the details; I wanted to know the “How”. But after listening for awhile, and not even taking notes (I’m a freak about notes!) it all started to sink in. All 30 hours from the trip came back and this training began a shift in my mind.

Then I finally took some advice from a current book I’m reading and physically sat down with some paper, a pen and a calendar. I created my goals for the next year, but it didn’t end there. I created specific dates to achieve these goals, but it didn’t even end there like it would have before. I went even further and wrote down the exact steps I would have to do to achieve these goals. Then I broke it down into which tasks will be done on which day of the week to meet those goals. Then I went a step further and handed that sheet to someone else to read out loud. Talk about accountability! It was at the end of this day that I felt the moment that everyone talks about. Because I’m such a detailed person, it took a lot more for me to feel it. I needed the specific ACTION steps I have to do so I could achieve my goals. This is a step that isn’t talked about all too often. Maybe it’s implied, but if you don’t put in writing what the action steps are for you to achieve your goals, you won’t fulfill them. So to answer the headline question, I would say “No”. Your mindset is not everything.

Developing a success mindset is the biggest step for sure to create wealth. However, the action steps that will help you achieve your goals are a close second. How To Get Traffic To Your Blog - Part 3 of Blogging For MLM Success

Blogging for MLM Success Part 3 of 3 – How To Get Qualified Traffic To Your Blog

Alright, we’ve made it to part 3.  In part 1 we talked about what a successful blog is, and how it works.  In part 2 we discussed the specific steps to take when creating a blog, and I gave you some specific tools for you to get started.  So now you have your blog up and running, it looks great – now what?

I am going to use an analogy for this article.  Think of the internet as the entire ocean.  Your blog is a small island all by itself smack dab in the middle.  No one even knows its there.  This is the challenge.  You have to provide tools for travelers to get to your island.  This is the most important step in blogging.  Your blog could be the most organized, cleanest, and most visual blog out there, but if you can’t get traffic to it, all your time and expense creating it has been pointless.

Obviously when writing a successful blog, the first thing you have to do is write a specific article or post.  People will overlook this part at first.  When writing an article, you need to make sure it is point specific and well written.  Do not feel the need to be a fabulous writer by any means.   You just need to have a well defined point to your post, and stay on topic.  The more specific your posts are, the more traffic you will receive.  This is an important point.

Let’s go back to our ocean analogy.  Some travelers have been to your island.  They either left with an excellent impression, or it left no impression at all.  You certainly want your blog to be the first part of that equation.  What is the first thing a traveler will talk about when they get home?  Their island experience.  When reading your blog, if people like what they read, they will send others there.  This is the traffic that is highly sought after.  To get your blog to go viral, your blog content needs to be appealing for people to tell others about it.  Otherwise you are working in circles; spending your time trying to get traffic that will never come back.

Social media allows your blog to go viral in many different ways.  The first way is with “word of mouth” advertising.  People will repost your blog on social media sites if they like the content.  It helps promote them and you at the same time.  So make sure you have sharing buttons for at least Facebook, Twitter, and Digg below your article.  Social media also allows you to create bridges to your island blog.  Being active on social media platforms allows you to brand yourself and your blog.  Having your blog link in your profile allows someone another means to learn more about you.  If they like what you have to say in a social discussion forum, then they will travel over to your blog to learn more.  Another way social media can help is with bookmarking sites.  Posting your blog post on a bookmarking site can get your blog seen to more people than social media alone.  There are many plugins that will give you this bookmarking option.

The last great way to achieve visitors to your blog is organically.  In our island analogy, this is where your island is located on a world map.  When people search for your island, it shows up!  You want the articles in your blog to be ranking high on the search engines for the greatest visibility.  This is by far the best technique to get blog traffic because the work you did once will last in cyberspace forever without anymore work on your part.  When writing an article, you need to concentrate on specific keywords that you are trying to target.  Keyword research is very important when trying to rank organically.  This topic is too great to get into detail now, however further details will be coming in another article.  Beside keyword research, the other best way to help your blog be seen by the search engines is to put in a few SEO plugins, and by far the best one to date is the All In One SEO plugin.

If you follow these steps, and stay consistent, your blog will receive concentrated traffic everyday.  Your visitors will like what they see and tell others.  More people visiting your blog will increase the amount of leads you receive for your business. In turn, upping the amount of customers and distributors you bring in.  It is this full circle that will help you begin blogging for MLM success.
